Puntland's president urges top Somali officials to end wrangle

The president of the Transitional Federal Government of Somalia, Abdirahman Muhammad Farole, held a press conference in Garoowe, the capital of Puntland, in which he spoke about many issues, that include the UN conference held in Kenya, the resolutions of the Kampala Accord and the rift between top Somali government leaders.

The president said Puntland wants to see the Somali crisis resolved. He said that there are some groups that are against the development attained by Puntland, adding that Puntland is involved in finding a solution to Somali problem. He called on the Somali leaders to end their political wrangling and instead priorities the national interest.

He said that there are many people who fled the fighting in southern Somalia living in Puntland who have been welcomed in major towns of region. He, however, stressed that there were others ought to disrupt peace in Puntland.

President Farole said Puntland's delegation to the postponed UN conference scheduled to be held in Mogadishu is ready but added that Puntland is ready to host the conference.
